Of all the medical technologies assisting procreation, surrogacy is perhaps the most debated of all. (Reproductive Technologies, 74). Webster's New World Dictionary defines surrogate as; a deputy or substitute; a woman who bears a child for another woman who will raise it. (Surrogate, Webster's New World Dictionary).
