The great depression of the 1930s forced thousands of workers out of their jobs many had to line up in the streets just to get bread and food. Also, the stock market crashed. In this essay I am going to explain the most important details of the great depression.
The stock market crash was main cause of the great depression. The stock market is a place where stocks or shares of companies are bought and sold. Though the 1920s-1928 stock prices rose and they rose quickly. People who owned stock made a lot of money. If stocks went down these people would not have money to pay it off.
