Affirmative Action Has Run its Course
When affirmative action was instated in the 1960's it was needed. Now early in the twenty first century its time has passed. Today affirmative action is no longer needed to ensure that women and minorities get a fair shot at education and jobs. Today affirmative action is hurting the movement for equality rather than helping it. It is impeding the case for equality; today affirmative action is a form of reverse discrimination.
First off, let me explain a little bit of what affirmative action is. Affirmative action is a part of the civil rights movement that started in the 1960's.
