The September 11 attacks changed the life of all Americans in several ways. The terrorist attacks were tragic evidence that the United States, a country once loved and admired around the world would be hated. The belief that the United States was a privileged sanctuary, and that distant threats could not disturb people's lives, the terrorist attacks collapsed all of those thoughts. As Americans examine their country, they have to deal with difficulties such as economic uncertainties, personal insecurities, and even anxieties of what lies in the future. The security at airports, parks, museums, etc has increased in such a big magnitude that it's almost impossible not to notice.
Americans used to think that their country an almost untouchable and invincible country would never have to face problems with terrorism, but now after the September 11 attacks, we all know that the possibility of other attacks exists. Therefore, that makes Americans feel that the country must be more vigilant or constantly suspicious against future attacks. In addition, the September 11 attacks have left many people emotionally traumatized. Most Americans are still worry about becoming victims of terrorism. It is very ironic to know that terrorists have used our airplanes to kill our people, devastate our economy, and they have also increased the chance of future terrorist attacks on America...
