Introduction

This is an issue, which raises many questions with reference to entertainment landscapes, environments, markets and places. What is the necessity of creating themed entertainment parks? What is the importance of creating foreign environments in a local situation? They are themed in order to provide "alternative spaces for the masses to the dreary claustrophobic housing areas in industrial inner cities.' (Zukin: 12)
