Technology in the Classroom
Teaching students with computers will have a bigger and better affect on them than using books. Computers and the internet work well because they are endless sources of material at the student's fingertips.
Some problems arise when students are visual learners and they can't visualize what is going on or the teacher can't create a clear enough picture for them to see. The addition of computers in the classroom provides teachers the ability to just turn their computer on and put a picture up for all of the students to see. The computer visuals and technology can stimulate the students and keep their interest. Technology provides immeasurable resource for teachers, is a stimulus for students' minds, and levels the playing field for disabled students.
Computers have slowly, but steadily arrived in the classroom over the past decade. In the beginning computers were only used as expensive typewriters. However, now they have developed into a machine of endless resources. Teachers have endless information, but many do not use it to improve their instruction...
