The Battle for Moscow
With incredible victories in Poland, Belgium, France, Norway and the Balkans, Hitler's dreams of conquering Europe, exterminating the slavic subhuman race, and adding to the ever increasing territory that the Aryan race could colonize and populate was coming more and more true. Nothing seemed to be able to stop the German war machine now, especially since Britain was under bombardment from "The Blitz" and was unable to launch any significant counterattack onto Germany at this time . Hitler now decided to turn his attention towards the vast expanses of the Soviet Union. It was no secret that Hitler would attack the Soviet Union next. He even predicted it in his book Mein Kampf. Hitler was ready on June 22, 1941 to throw everything he had in one stupendous campaign to defeat the entire Soviet Union and claim it for himself . The campaign was beautifully managed by Hitler's generals in the beginning, thus achieving the massive success that they did . However, Hitler had become increasingly worried and decided to start interfering with the campaign. His first and most fatal decision that ultimately led to the German Army being unable to take Moscow in the fall of 1941, was to order the Panzergruppes of Army Group Center to break off the attack temporarily to help out the other two German Fronts.
