The name of the book that I read is called "King of the World" by David Remnick. The time period of this book is between the 1960's 1970's. This book is about Muhammad Ali who had major conflicts in his life. His birth name is Cassius Clay, but he changed his name when he became a Muslim. He was one of the greatest boxers in the history of boxing, and he is known for his quickness, and his mouth.
Muhammad Ali was a 3-time heavyweight champion. He defended the title eight times in the next 20 months. In the meantime, the Army tried to draft him and he refused. As a result, the New York State Boxing Commission revoked his license, his title was stripped, and he was sentenced to 5 years in prison for draft evasion. Muhammad Ali was going through a series of battles in and outside the ring, but he would be able to overcome them...
