You want to start worrying about Election Day now? And I don't mean the final tally. If the race is not a blowout in either direction, the potential for mischief, subversion, and aggravation could be quite high. Imagine problems, charges of misdeeds, and challenges in more than one state. Will elections officials be able to deal with the mess? Can the public be confident that disputes will be handled fairly and properly? Will the Democrats be as prepared as Republicans to do battle on multiple fronts across the land? Up until now, I've not worried unduly about Diebold, Election Day shenanigans, bad voters lists, the counting of "provisional" ballots, and other such matters. But a short item that led today's Hotline, a wonderful tip sheet for political insiders that if far too expensive for the average joe, got me spooked. Here it is:
