We are writing on behalf of the agency sales force who have expressed concern over the problems arising from the recent changes in the compensation plan.
While we understand the need to be proactive in dealing with our compensation, we strongly disagree with certain changes introduced in the new plan. We have studied the different components of the new compensation plan and found that some of the changes are grossly disadvantageous to the sales force. We believe the new plan was arbitrarily and illegally implemented since New York Life Philippines forced us to sign the new changes threatening us with withholding our income if we disagreed to sign said documents.
Preventing dehydration/Fluid Replacement
*dehydration: loss of water (can happen through several ways)
*in exercise, dehydration happens through sweating
*loss of body water = decrease in blood plasma volume
*fluid replacement must be equal to what was lost in sweat
*after exercise, athletes lose 5 to 10 lbs., mostly water loss through sweat
*fluid replacement is necessary to prevent progressive dehydration
*adequate water prevents the impair of physiological and performance responses
Content of Drink
*drink should be hypotonic (few solid particles per unit water)
*plain water is the most important
*a drink low in sugar
*cool (15 to 22 C or 59 to 70 F)
*palatable
