Management
Management is defined as the process of using organizational resources to achieve organizational objectives through planning, organizing and staffing, leading and controlling. In a technical sense this definition is correct, but there is much more to being a successful manager than this. A successful manager must be able to spark motivation among his or her team and offer the guidance necessary to allow their team to reach their goals. Managers must keep an open mind and use the techniques that work. In today's society people respond best when treated as equals and not someone of less importance. Managers that can lead while maintain this type of relationship are destine for success in his or her field. There are many environmental factors that a successful manager must face in today's business world. Some of these include: government policy and laws, competitors, economic changes, and technological advances.
