My home is coming to an end. All of our customs, traditions, and beliefs, they are all vanishing. What has happened to my people, and the way we used to be? I remember when we would go with our fathers to the community festivals, and worship our gods, and now we are all going and following the evil ideas of these men that we would usually fight, or at least chase away.
I don't understand why my people are not standing up to these white men. Don't they see they have come in and taken over? They are taking away our costumes, and bringing in their new laws. They treat us like animals, and all we do is listen to them, and follow their bazaar ways.
When they took me and five other people hostage I was sure my people would realize what savages they were. They would've hanged us if we didn't pay them money...
