As one grows older they choose their own path in life; what rules to obey and which are to be broken. Many of life's lessons derive from personal experience such as happy moments or in my case traumatic ones. When I was but eight years old, my mother took me to my babysitter because she had a meeting to attend out of town. My babysitter was a kind and gentle man which I looked up to as if he were my own father his name was Tom. That night, due to subconsiousness of certain substances I lost the man I deeply cherished. Certainly due to such a horrific event of losing one of my best friends, I have not veered from the road to success.
Tom, was like a father to me since my father was never really there. He taught me what a man should be in my life. He showed the compassion that I needed from a father. Without him I wouldn't be the person who I am today...
