Columbia Crew - The Columbia was the first Space Shuttle that traveled to Earth orbit. It was the first to break up on re-entry, and it did so on Feb. 1st, 2003. It littered hundreds on miles with shuttle debris. The crew was: Rick D. Husband, Commander, William C. McCool, Pilot, Michael P. Anderson, Payload Commander, David M. Brown, Mission Specialist 1, Kalpana Chawla, Mission Specialist 2, Laurel Blair Salton Clark, Mission Specialist 4, Ilan Ramon, and Payload Specialist 1.
