Theme: Media
Every country has their own culture and network of media. Culture is a code for communication. It is of total collection of shared language, beliefs, customs, activities, interactions, personal relations, institutions and communication patterns of an identifiable group of people.
In this project, we were asked to differentiate the way media television programs, or news channels to be precise, deliver news and information to the public. And personally, I chose TV4 and SVT1. Last night, 22nd of September, 19:00 - 20:00, I watched the news in both channels and the I noticed these following differences:
Nyheterna (Channel 4)
In this channel, they have 4 reporters2 for the local and world news, 1 for the weather report and 1 for the economy updates. I don't know why they want to have it that way but probably because it would be easier for the reporters to focus only with one special field. They would be able to deliver their assigned news better and clearer knowing that they don't have to worry about the other field of the news.
TV4 is considered as one of the best news channel in Sweden. And as I watched it, I didn't doubt why...
