In a world where so much war is raging, it is hard to believe that the United States, is battling within itself over an issue that should not be so legally challenging to begin with.
Marriage, the institute of love and devotion for a lifetime for two partners bound legally by the obtaining of a license to be recognized as a union of parties by all state and federal regulatory laws. There is no definition of marriage as being between a man and a woman, just the broad definition stated above. If government officials are so intent on changing vocabulary and interpretation of law so that it weighs favor to specify heterosexuality then how can our great country truly be described as "united."
"United" implies a vast greatness of diversity coming together for one purpose. Our purpose, our goal is to be a strong nation, a leader amongst leaders a country among countries that can stand on its own. After all, our own constitution was written all inclusive to not be defined by any race, creed, origin, or orientation (sexual or otherwise).
The preamble clearly reads, "We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America. No where in this preamble or in the text and body of the entire Constitution is there to be found a descriptive type of people that this body of law is written for other than "We the people of the United States."
