Informational Speech
The seven main responsibilities of managing a deli are: hiring employees, scheduling when employees work, training employees on their responsibilities, organization and presentation of the store, ordering supplies for store, attracting customers, and all money matters assigned to you by the owner of the store. To be a successful manager you must be able to comply with all these duties.
Hiring Employees-
When hiring employees you must take into consideration peoples:
- availability
- personality - do they seem responsible?
- are they trust worthy?
- are they on time?
- are they hard working?
-experience - what kinds of jobs have they had in the past and what where their responsibilities?
Scheduling when employees work-
Weekdays M-F:
-2 people in @ 6:30am
-1person in @7:00am
-2 people in @10:00am
- 2 people from 6:30am leave @ 2:30pm
-1 person comes in @ 2:30pm
-person from 7:00am leaves @4:00pm
-1 person from 10:00 am leaves @5:00pm
-last person from 10:00am leaves @7:00pm
-person from 2:30pm closes store and leaves @8:30-9:00pm
Weekends Sat.:
-2 people in @ 9:00am, make all the pastas for the week and leave @ 5:00pm
Training employees on their responsibilities-
-show them where all supplies and cookware is kept.
-procedures for cooking/ recipes
-how to do pay outs
-where dumpster/recycling is
-how to use cash register
-how to open/breakdown kitchen
-how to treat customers
-how to answer phone
-how to use Visa machine
-what to do if robbed
-what abbreviations on order cards stand for
-what order to call out orders
Organization and Presentation of store-
-all new products to back or on the bottom...
