Night Essay It is a dramatic autobiographical true-life story based upon his own experiences in a Nazi concentration camps during World War 2. Over six million Jews had been killed. The greatest numbers of victims were killed in concentration camps in which Jews – and other enemies of Germany – were gathered, imprisoned, forced into labor, and, when they could no longer be of use to this captors, annihilated. Millions of Jews, including Elie’s family suffered horrible deaths of incineration, being shot to death, lack of food, and a terrible death marches. Germans exterminated Jews mainly because they were jealous and prejudice. They did that mainly because of their religious believes. Germans acted like animals. It is just so hard to imagine nowadays that something like that happened not a long time ago. Germans murdered everyone – males, females, kids…This novel demonstrates how cruel and inhumane man can be to other man.
