Mobile Phones
Introduction
At this point in time, there are over five million mobile phone users in Portugal. While some people think of mobile phones as a curse, many see them as a blessing.
Among young people, mobile phones are often looked upon as a status symbol or fashion accessory.
As far as I'm concerned, cellular phones are not only very useful, but also I believe that there should be a mobile phone in every household.
On the other hand, using a cell phone helps people to stay in touch with each other, no matter where they are. Today most mobile phones work on satellites, which allow their users to operate them from any place on earth.
Also cellular phones are perfect for emergencies; if you are stuck on the road, or have got lost, then all you have to do is call and ask for help.
Nothing is perfect so mobile phones also have disadvantages. The latest research suggests that mobile phones can cause cancer. But as long as people use them with intelligence, they have the potential to greatly enrich our lives...
