Have you ever pondered what the French Revolution was really about? Ever contemplate whether the people involved in the revolution really succeeded in their positions held at that time? Well, in this essay I will argue that Napoleon, a major part of the revolution and the period after, had succeeded in what he was assigned to do.
The revolution started out as the third estate wanting some minor changes in their rights and such. But then it escalated to ridiculous measures that were bound to fail in a short period of time. The first thing Napoleon did was conquer lands because Bonaparte's back round was started in the military, becoming one of the greatest military commanders of all time. Countries he defeated were Austria, Russia, Egypt, and some parts of Italy. With all that success his power grew fast and he became dictator.
As Napoleon grew more and more popular, the third estate grew more and more fed up with the status and situation they had been given to live in. The third estate refused to pay the high taxes anymore...
