To Kill a Mockingbird
Good vs. evil is an epic battle that has gone on for generations. It is also one of the strongest themes in the novel To Kill a Mockingbird written by Harper Lee. The people and events that have developed Jem and Scouts characters throughout the novel are Atticus, Boo Radley and the Tom Robinson trial. They helped Jem and Scout when they first saw the evil in the world and guided them to the right path.
Atticus had a big effect on the children by guiding them through life and teaching them how to treat people right. Atticus told them "You never really understand a person till you climb into his skin and walk around in it" (Lee 273). "Jem and Scout had a perspective of childhood innocence where they think that everyone is good and not evil"(sparknotes.com).
