HEAL THE WORLD.
Close your eyes and imagine a lush array of green trees, flowers blooming in vivid colors, the sky glowing with the brightest shade of blue. Now open your eyes and see a vast expanse of sea submerged in toxic wastes, thousands of trees being cut down mercilessly, the sky engulfed by poisonous gases. THIS is reality.
Like all other living beings, humans have clearly changed their environment, but they have done so on a grander scale than other species. The problems facing the environment are vast and diverse. Destruction of the world's rain forests, global warming, and the depletion of the ozone layer are just some of the problems that will reach critical proportions in the coming decades.
Human population growth is seen as the root of virtually all of the world's environmental problems. As the number of people increases, more pollution is generated, more habitats are destroyed, and more natural resources are used up. Technological advances are just not enough to cut the environmental impact of each individual...
