This Thanksgiving with my husband's family was intended to be a family gathering full of laughter, smiles, and good food. All prior holidays were an end result of being at Wilson Memorial Hospital and waiting at the county jail for the bondsman. I was determined to have a good time without the bitter fights, resentment, and sly remarks. This was going to be our day.
The morning I woke up; I felt bad, but I didn't care. I woke my husband up and told him to get dressed. The children were fighting and the baby was running a fever. Even that didn't stop me. I went to Wally World (Wal-Mart) to buy some extra items to cook over at his cousin Angela's house. His cousin Angela was a good cook and she was the nicest of my husband's entire family...
