Making the all star team

When I lived in Sicily, my basketball coach had a big influence in my decision of not going to the all-star game in Rome (Italy), which is a dyadic primacy relationship. There were many reasons I decided not to go because it was my senior year in high school. In addition, a big party was happening the same weekend and my best friend was going. She was on my basketball team to, but did not make the all-star team.
It was my senior year in high school and I have been playing basketball for three years for the Department of defense schools in Sigonella Sicily (Italy). We did very well in our season and finished second place out of small schools in Italy. Our last game they announced the players for the all-star teams. I was one of them who made the team. Later that week I talked to my best friend on the team about whether I should go or not. Her response was that our senior party was the same weekend, which I really was looking forward to going...
