Television and the Twilight of the Senses.
The five senses are something that is innate to humans. With our natural ability to taste, touch, hear, smell, and see, every human uses their senses throughout their everyday lives in order to get by in this world. If we take a look at the ways in which we use or senses, we can see that most of us will naturally and preferably use one sense over the other. The way we use our senses is not thought about by most people, but there are a select many that believe that there is favoritism showed toward "sight." Vision is, for most people, the dominating sense, especially because we can incorporate it greatly into this technologically advanced society. We rely on our sense of vision almost completely because we can use it for so many different things in our lives- from simply being able to cross the street, to watching television for our own entertainment. The ability to "see" becomes to the people, something that is completely taken advantage of because we rely on it so much and commonly use it in place of our other senses.
