We are now living in a multi-cultural society and therefore it is inevitable that different cultures will associate in the same society and develop attractions, relationships and marriage. The reading has not really affected my thoughts about cross-cultural marriages since these marriages seem to be a reality in our society. I find that cross-cultural marriages are quite common. This article was written by Clarke Blaise in 1986 and in 16 years, things have progressed and have become more socially acceptable.
From my research, I have learned a few things about cross-cultural marriages. In these relationships, an initial physical attraction is the ultimate initiation. 'Sexual attraction overcomes cultural suspicion.' People do indeed become physically attracted to each other. Clarke Blaise writes, Ain 1963, in Iowa city, sexual attraction worked its magic, and I married Bharati Mukherjee.@
