Amy Wu told her experienced of growing up in the Chinese family in America. At first, she disliked her mother but as she got older, she understood that her mother has given her many fine values and morals. It was difficult for Amy to follow her mother's teaching because she grew up in a western culture, which is very different from the eastern culture. As a Chinese American, she talked more openly but her mother disliked this attitude. Despite her mother's strict learning, Amy Wu is very proud of her mother as her mother taught her how to be a disciplined and well-mannered person. As a Chinese, her mother is very different from her American friends' mother. Amy Wu's mother showed her love differently from her American friends' mother. These differences could be due to the culture differences. Her mother taught a lot of Chinese culture to her.
