Introduction:
As this chart from the Nation Center for Health Statistics shows, Cancer is the second highest cause of death in the United States today. It claimed 553,768 lives in 2001. The only cause of death that claims more lives is heart disease. If you still think it couldn't happen to you, listen to this: one in three women and one in two men will develop cancer during their lifetime, and only on third of them will survive. Our odds are against us these days, so why would anyone want to increase their risk of cancer by smoking, taking steroids, or over-exposure to ultraviolet rays? Doing any of those could almost double your chance of becoming one of the unlucky ones. Throughout this speech I will inform you about the detection, the causes, and the treatments of cancer.
First we will discuss the Detection
Doctors say that everyone should be more concerned with getting the proper Tests done regularly. According to a study reported in the journal of the national cancer institute: more lives could be saved if more people regularly got cancer screening tests. Doctors have stated that by regularly testing those who don't show any cancer like symptoms, cancer can be found whiles in its early stages and chances of successful treatment are highest...
