An argument on a basic core curriculum of liberal arts courses
When high school students graduate, most of them generally go to university. They usually go to there because it is the general life course. However, some of them have some specific reasons of entering university for getting a better job or improving their knowledge about what they study or are interested in. To get this purpose the educational system of their high school is made to teach generally, so students can think and learn about what they want to be or what they want to study in university. Therefore, a basic core curriculum of liberal arts courses should be required for all students entering college for choosing a major properly and succeeding in academic courses of university.
To begin with, students should choose their major properly in university in order to specify their knowledge and skills. The curriculum of liberal arts courses can help them to choose. Since liberal arts courses are general studies such as history, english, and
math, they help students think ideas widely about what they want to be or what kinds of job they want to do. That makes students choose properly a major in university, so they can make clear about their life course.
