The African Queen is a story about a lady who is a Christian missionary from England, and a sailor from England who travel a river to help out their country in the war. It first starts off as the lady lives in this Africa village. The German soldiers come and burn their homes down and force the people to fight for them in the war. After her brother dies she is the only one left at the village. The sailor also delivers the villages mail. He tells her she better come with her and that they need to go into hiding because the Germans will be back. So they get on his boat called the African Queen.
At first they were going to live on the boat tell the war was over, but the lady saw all the stuff he had on his boat. A lot of explosive type stuff. She asked if he could make a torpedo to take out this German ship that watch over this lake...
