Graphic designers are people who like to create new things and ideas. They combine practical knowledge with imaginative ability to turn abstract ideas into formal designs. A graphic designer plans, analyzes, and creates visual solutions to communications problems. They use a variety of print, electronics, and film media and technology to execute a design that will meet a client's needs. They design web pages, brochures, newspapers, and much more for companies and businesses. The first step to develop a new design or altering an existing one is determining the needs of the client, the main function for which the design is intended, and its appeal to customers and users. Graphic design is a commercial art. Many graphic designers used computer-aided design (CAD) tools to create and better visualize the final result. These programs allow ease and flexibility in exploring a greater number of design alternatives, which reduces design costs and preparation time.
