Project I: Primary Source Analysis In light of the recent events of the September 11th attacks on the United States of America we as citizens of the USA and the world are forced to look at things in a different light. We have been forced to look at the events as wake up call for the world we live. Living in the United States has always afforded us the safety and security of an almost utopian world. Those of us born in the 1970’s and after in the United States had not been subjected to war, famine, or poverty as many others in parts of the world have. This generation of Americans is in disbelief over what it has come to know about the world. We have always viewed our great America as the mother ship of the world leading other countries in the path to affluence through freedom and democracy.
