Key Ideas and Concepts That Make Up the Four Basic Perspectives of Human Development

Over time, many different theories and ideas on human development have evolved. The four major perspectives are psychoanalytic, learning, cognitive development, and contextual/systems. All four theories are supported by smaller ideas and key aspects. Psychoanalytic is supported by Freud's ideas of instincts and unconscious motives. Skinner's Operant Conditioning helps support the learning perspective. Pigets Constructivism supports cognitive development and Vygotsky's sociocultural prospective helps support the contextual and systems theories. In attempt to explain why I agree with each idea, I have summarized key points to each theory.
