I am a lighting expert for many different bands. One of the materials I will be using is a filter. A filter is an
transparent material that absorbs light of the same color.
When you use more then one color of light at a time, the light product
would be that you are adding ( addition ) more light. I am going to put both
blue and green to make cyan, or I can put blue and red together and make
magenta.
For example, a blue flag appears blue in a white light because all of the
colors of white light are absorbed except for the blue which is reflected.
For my first song I want to create a quiet mood. I will bathe the stage
in blue. I will create this by using a white light with a blue filter over it. Then
when I am ready for the blue lights I will turn off all of the other lights...
