We as a society take for granted the demands that are placed on managers. Do you think the shelves at the grocery store stock themselves? Do you think that the coffee at Starbucks brews itself when the sun comes up? Of course not. All of these procedures take planning. All of which are designed and followed through by some sort of manager.
Managers, whether we realize it or not, do a lot of behind the scenes work. Planning, organizing, leading, and controlling are just a few of the many managerial tasks that are placed upon management on a daily basis.
