Humanity still exist Violence will not prevail
For centuries violence has had a terrible success on our planet, killing thousands of many innocent people. Some old some young some black some white, showing no respect for race or religion and more seriously showing no respect for humanity. Naomi Shihab Nye and Amitav Ghosh both acknowledged this in their essays "To Any would-be Terrorists," and " The Ghosts Of Ghandi."
Ghosh's stated that the riots started after the assassination of Mrs. Ghandi. The thugs attacked the President of the republic because he was a Sikh and they believe the Sikh were responsible for assassination of Mrs Ghandi. The mob went further to seek revenge on other Sikh, citizen by destroying their properties and burning them alive. Ghosh's then went on to say how he and a friend provided a safe haven for their Sikh neighbor from an on coming mob. He clearly stated that his neighbor had no more sympathy for the Sikh terrorists than he did. Ghosh's had a strong belief in humanity and later joined an organized demonstration to protest the killing of the innocent Sikh...
