People always say, "What goes up must come down." Ecstasy belongs to a family of drugs called "enactogems," which literally means "touching within." Young adults in Tyler should immediately stop the use of ecstasy, otherwise known as MDMA, because of the short-term effects, the emotional price the family must pay, and the long-term effects.
Although the use of ecstasy leaves a person with the feeling of well-being and euphoria, young adults ages 18-25 should refrain from using MDMA because of the short-term side effects. One user admitted that ecstasy increased his heart rate, which caused overheating that in return, left the user with kidney problems, cerebral hemorrage, and liver damage (Erowid). Other short-term effects that come from this drug include confusion, minimal depression, severe anxiety, and amnesia (Dupameg). Takinga drug such as MDMA causes effects that last a short time but scar a user for life. To repeat, because of the short term effects, young adults should discontinue the use of ecstasy, as it also causes family problems.
