Sunday 7, December 1941. "A day that will live in infamy". Japanese aircraft attacked the US Pacific Fleet at Pearl Harbor. The Japanese had been planning to take the US Pacific Fleet out of action, but it was't until November 26, 1941 that the Japanese fleet began a 2,800 miles voyage across the Pacific. The entire fleet included four batleships, two heavy cruisers, ten destroyers, and twenty-four long-range submarines. They all had one mission: to protect the six aircraft carriers that had three hundred sixty planes(including dive-bombers and planes that were equipped to drop torpedoes for shallow water).
While the Japanese were on their mission, they had to take extra caution. No radio conversations could be held, for fear of something intercepting the messages. They even took the precaution to take tankers along so they could refuel while at sea. This attck was very well practiced and planned...
