Every time I go to Wal-Mart, I notice the large discrepancy between the number of items on my shopping list and those that are in my cart as I am waiting in the checkout line. I go through the items methodically: I had to get the four cans of chicken noodle soup because they were four for $2.00. Who knows when a deal like that will come around again? The cookies were buy one package get one free. The soft drinks were only $2.50 each. Though I had not initially planned to purchase these items, I knew it was my duty as a good consumer. This way, I could leave feeling as though I had "beaten" the store. As I waited longer, I began to realize that I had fallen into a trap set by the superstore...
