Introduction
Intel is a great company to refer to when discussing strategy. This is a company that was founded on strategy. From the beginning Robert Noyce and Gordon Moore knew they had to tailor their products to the customer. They needed specific products they could run with, instead of spreading themselves too wide with several areas of interest. It has been over a quarter of a century since Intel started, yet they are still a leader in the industry.
Strategy of Intel
Intel Corporation founded itself on the computer memory field by building semiconductors. It was the first company of its' kind to have such an in depth scope. Intel wanted to become a leader in a specialized field where people would become heavily reliable upon their parts.
