NOURISHING TRADITIONS
Nourishing Traditions has different from 'politically correct nutrition'prospective on food and food preparation in our society. Modern food choices and preparation techniques have changed dramatically from the way man used to nourish himself. This change has not been good. It actually has compromised our health and well being.
The Big Idea is that we should use food choices and preparation tradition of our ancestors as a model for ourselves. Each person's ideal diet is different from others. And it should be discovered through observation and intuition. However, all diets should include essential nutrients and food should be prepared appropriately.
There are six major nutritional groups (water, carbs, fats, proteins, vitamins and minerals) and they are all equally important for our body. For healthy living you must eat animal protein, seafood, dairy products, animal fats, fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds and whole grains, unrefined carbohydrates...
