Unending Story-- two versions
I first learned about The Endless Story from Phyllis Malandra, a fine person I was married to for a number of years; she learned it from her mother.
There was a recent discussion about Sea Stories, on Storytell,, during which somebody contributed their version of The Endless Story (the "robbers" were "pirates.") That motivated me to write out the version that I've developed from Phyllis', as the close of a school program. We were rewarded by a post from a Chinese student, living in Manhattan, whose version follows immediately on mine.
