Ever since the nineteen-century there have been many controversial debates about limiting the number of immigrants coming to America each year. However, in reality immigrants help this country grow in many ways. With their new ideas, history and culture that they bring, it improves the knowledge that we have around the world.
Ever since 1607 many immigrants have been coming to America. Whether it was for political freedom, religious tolerance, family tolerance and economic opportunities, they still decide to come to America to escape any poverty or percussion. In a way limiting the number of immigrants contradicts the whole concept of this being the "land of the free and opportunity." Lizmar Caicedo actually supports this statement suggesting herself, "I think it is wrong for the U.S. to do such a thing because it is known for this country to be the land that gives freedom to immigrants, and also they're known to give out opportunities to others in need, the thought of them doing this will just contradict themselves."
