Selena was born in Lake Jackson,Texas.
She was born to Mexican parents.As she grew up her family didn't have a lot of money,but they were always happy and close with each other.Her father used to belong to a singing group when he was young and his group name was called The Los Dinos.But at the time,there was a lot of discrimination against Mexican singers singing in English.So her father was never really able to make anything out of himself as a singer,but he never lost his love for music and he kept on singing for family and friends.Anyway as Selena grew up,her father realized that she had a talent in singing.He found that out cuz she used to sing songs with him.Selena's father formed a musical band consisting Selena,her brother,and her sister.While Selena sang and danced,her brother and sister played the instruments...
