Sitting high atop the Salisbury Plain, Stonehenge stands as a mystery to both modern and ancient man. Stonehenge itself, to this very day, stands as a testament to the intelligence, knowledge, and innovation of its builders. It is a living example of their architectural knowledge, as well as their ability to organize and unite behind a single goal. However, the mysteries and complexities of Stonehenge have baffled its investigators for four thousand years. It stands as one of the most unique creations among all the stone monuments of ancient man.
The first question posed by the uneducated reader would be, "What is Stonehenge?". Stonehenge is a prehistoric monument that stands on the Salisbury Plain, due north of Salisbury in southwestern England.
