What is a nursing home? A nursing home is a privately operated establishment providing maintenance and personal or nursing care for people who are unable to care for themselves properly. Most people that fit these conditions are aged or chronically ill, and need special assistance.
However, there will always be problems with how care is delivered in a nursing home. No one is going to take care of you or your loved one exactly the way you think it should be. Although, there are ways to deal with these problems. The most common way is to be polite but persistent. For some people though, this can be very difficult to accomplish.
