Church Visit
On Sunday October 17, I went to visit the United Churches of Christ in Davenport. When I got there, they're youth group had a video clip class in which they take clips out of movies, watch them, and relate them to faith/religion. This time they watched Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. While they watched the clip, they had donoughts and coffee available. After that, all the people met in the prayer room. The youth group acted out a skit for a Christian thespian festival that they had going on next weekend.
After that, the reverend went up to the podium and gave a sermon. The main point of her sermon was that God is still speaking to us and that he is still listening to us. Then the choir came in and everyone got up to sing a hymn. After that, everyone sat down and she gave a lecture out of the Gospels...
