I was barely 21 years old when I heard the unexpected words. The doctor. said to me, "We have your test results. Sorry, it took so long, but it was a difficult case to diagnose." The Doctor looked at me with a solemn expression on his face, I asked him what was wrong with me? Grabbing my hand with sympathy, he said, " You have been diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma." Having no clue what I had just been told, I waited for him to give me some medicine to get rid of whatever I was just diagnosed with. My immediate response was, "Okay, how do I get rid of it?" The Doctor then explained to me that non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL) was a form a Cancer-- a cancer of the cells of the lymphatic system. I remember asking my doctor, "What does this mean, what does this mean?..
