Networking Strategies
There are many benefits to networking with other early childhood
professionals. From others, we are able to gain access to important
resources and information relevant to our field of work. By networking,
we hear of fresh new ideas and enhance our professional development.
In this essay I will discuss effective strategies for networking within the
field of early childhood education.
There are many resources and organizations accessable to early
childhood practitioners. By accessing these resources, children are
encouraged to develop languange and other basic skills before they head
off to grade 1. Some children with special needs go undiagnosed unless
they are introduced to an early childhood professional. By keeping a list
of contacts from different agencies such as Grit, and Cause and Effect,
as well as various therapists such as speech, behavioral and occupational,
assistance is close at hand to help each child succeed.
In my community, we have a couple of groups that get together for
support and to discuss issues. One is for childcare providers in our town,
and the other is a group of early childhood professionals consisting of a
preschool director, teachers, assistants and therapists...
