I chose these two particular poems in order to be able to convey the deeper meanings of the two poems and thereby being able to see what both the poets motivations for writing the specific poems were. ... " trying to ask whether God expects him to write his beautifull poems without any vision? ... It is a very deep and emotional poem that asks questions like what is death and what is birth, and if necessary could these two be alike? ...
Now in stanza two there comes some definition and even symbols. They arrive upon a valley with a town, three trees are situated on the horizon and that could be a symbol of the three crosses that were used to crucify Jesus and the two criminals. ...
These two poems hold a certain effect and meaning to them. Both tell of a mans journey to reach a certain spiritual and religious point in their lives and how the journey is undertaken and also how it ends, both realizing along the way what it was that they wanted to know or what they lacked.
